Often I have wondered why God seems to not answer some prayers the way it would seem He would certainly want to, maybe even seem He has promised to, or seemingly would best honor Him. Yet, i know that HE IS GOD, He knows what He's doing! But...... there is a certain area of prayers where I am learning that He seems to just pile on the answers and blessings.
Many of you are likely far ahead of me on this one. But for me, in the last couple years and even more and more in the last 6 months or so, I have been seeing astounding answers. I'm just going to throw out 2 or 3 examples, in my own life, and if you are not already, maybe you will want to try something similar.
1) With a super intent, I have been praying that God give me a PASSION for Him! Wow! How He has answered this! I could share and share!
2) I have been praying that he reveal sin in my life and help me to see it as He does. Again, Wow! Some problem areas have just nearly disappeared, seemingly on their own. And a nausea, a DESPISE, for sin has developed!
3) I have been praying that He give me His joy and that He make it overflowing to the point of appearing weird to the world. Not fake, not forced, not conscious, but natural and overflowing. Again Wow! This one is awesome! I find myself irresistibly smiling when life issues could appear tragic. I could go on and on!
It's all bigger and broader and crazier awesome than what I can share. And as I've mentioned before, I am almost tense for fear of some of his awesome presence slipping away, IT IS SO OUT OF THE NORM, at least for me.
And there are other areas and topics and steps of obedience that I am consciously taking, that likely contribute. But the obvious answer to these prayers is unquestionable!
Other similar possible topics could be love for others, or forgiveness, boldness in sharing our faith, removal of fear, etc.
Do I still have areas of challenge? Of course! But, these types of prayers are prayed with the exclusive desire to better honor Him, with my life. And I have promised Him that I will share His blessings, with the world, as He provides them. And His provision has been amazing!!!
